Sweenshots x Shay Moné Studio is a black-owned content and lifestyle creation studio, located In the Midtown area of Houston, Texas - owned by married couple Ahmad and Shay Sweeney. The couples studio business came about when co-owner Ahmad Sweeney lost his job in corporate America due to Covid. He is a freelance photographer in Houston that photographs his wife, whom is a lifestyle blogger, and many other content creators and entrepreneurs in the area. He has been in the photography business for the past 5 years, and decided to take a leap of faith with his wife to open up their dream content creation studio.

With the backing of Shay's following on social media through her blog, Shay Moné, they were able to open up a studio with buzz and a jump start with pre-bookings . Shay designed the studio as if she was going to live there, as she wanted every client to feel like they were at their home shooting. Not everyone has a glamorous home to shoot in, so creating a place where content creators could get an Instagrammable space was a must for the couple.

Sweenshots X Shay Moné Studio was created with both photographers, videographers, content creators, and influencers in mind. The lifestyle studio rental features lighting, a luxury mock kitchen, minimalist living area, makeup vanity, an assortment of colored backdrops, and much more! The goal is to provide a clean, affordable space where creatives can bring their vision to life!

Recently, the couple launched their curated home decor line, #DearHome. Ahmad Sweeney, owner, works alongside his wife Shay as they curate pieces to be a part of their home decor online shop.

A University of Houston alumni with a degree In Consumer Science & Merchandising, and Masters In Fashion Merchandising. Shay Moné is a lifestyle and fashion blogger highlighting her love for her family, fashion, and home decor style. She wanted to create a space that highlighted her decor style and love for design and opening up Sweenshots studios with her husband, Ahmad, has given her the ability to do that and more. Shay is also passionate about expressing who she is and her culture, and is apart of a group known as Influencing in Color. Ahmad and Shay are parents to three beautiful children whom are also apart of the family business! 

Ahmad Sweeney | Founder & CEO

A Rice University alumni with a degree in Political Science. He gained an interest in photography when his wife Shay started her blogging career. After taking her photos for 3 years, he decided to keep his corporate job and do freelance photography. He gained several clients, and has worked with numerous fashion brands photographing content for his clients. In 2020 , he lost his job in corporate America and became a full-time photographer. He is passionate about photographing his family, traveling, and being able to make content creators dreams come to life.
